HELP US HELP YOU
Saturday, January 12, 2019

With the area's first significant snow storm of the year getting ready to begin at any moment the Clayton Fire Company would like to take a moment to ask the citizens of the area to help us to make sure we are able to perform our duties as quickly as possibe should the need arise.  In a business where seconds can mean the difference between life or death or possibly saving your house from the dangers of a fire we ask that you help us by clearing snow away from fire hydrants in the area of your house.  During a snow storm snow can quickly cover a fire hydrant or the openings of a fire hydrant.  If a fire occurrs this can cause unnessary time  to clear snow away from a hydrant.  You can help us by taking the time now while it is snowing or immediately after it stops to clear all the snow at least 3' in all directions around the hydrant.  The firefighters from Clayton thank you in advance for your help in keeping your community safe.
