Tuesday afternoon just after lunch at 12:56 the station was dispatched for the engine company to assist Station 44 on the working house fire in the 100 block of Fairways Circle in the Garrisons Lake Development. Engine 45-3 w/4, Lt. Jonathan Burnett and Engine 45-4 w/5, Chief Wes Davis arrived to find Smyrna and Cheswold units on scene with several lines in service on a single story single family dwelling with heavy fire in the garage and attic area’s. Crews from both engines went to work helping to extinguish and overhaul the fire area’s. Crews from Clayton operated for almost 2 hours. During that time the station had crew’s for both remaining units in the station. Lt. Jason Hanson (44-21) had the 44 Command.
