ENGINE 45-4 LEAVES FOR ITS NEW HOME
Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Today three members of the Hodgenville Ky Fire Department made the 12 hour trip to Clayton to look over Engine 45-4, which has been for sale since the beginning of the year when the contract was signed for the new engine.  The Hodgenville Ky Fire Department, which is located in the middle of Kentucky south of Louisville is the Birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, had been in the market for a used engine to replace an early 70's American LaFrance Tele Squirt and saw our engine for sale through a broker.  After looking over the engine from top to bottom, pumping and drive testing it they were very satisfied with the engine.  By late morning after completing some paper work and being given all the documents for the engine the members from Hodgenville Fire Department began the long ride back home. The members from Hodgenville that made the trip were Fire Chief Charles Lee and Firefighters Daniel Highbaugh and Heath Graham.  We like to thank our new friends of Hodgenville for their interest in the engine and wish them success with their "new" truck as it servers them as well as it served us.
