On Wednesday January 3, 2018 the Clayton Fire Company kicked off its 2018 training schedule with the companies annual first night orientation fire school. The training consisted of a review of 2017 numbers and some updates to the running card and other items. The memebrs then were split into two groups and reviewed some new equipment received for the new engine as well as a review of the TIC and new gas meters. Some of the new equipment consisted of a review of the new battery powered exhaust fan, a new portable battery powered scene light, and new quick deploying vehicle step chocks made of metel that can be quickly deployed to stablize a vehicle. The 2018 training schedule was passed out with 28 dates in 2018.
