ICY ROADS SENDS VEHICLE INTO HOUSE AND ONE TO ER

A quick blast of snow caused traffic problems on local roads and several accidents throughout the area.  Wednesday morning at 7:49am the station along with Ambulance 64, KM6, KM5 and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched for the auto accident with a vehicle into a house at 11 Wheatley's Farm Drive.  Rescue 45 w/6, Past Chief Jeff Hurlock arrived along with EMS units to find a single vehicle off the roadway.  The crew from Rescue 45 stabilized the vehicle and checked the residence for damage while EMS crews treated the operator.  The operator was transport to Bayhealth Medical in Dover.  Also responding was Command 45 w/ Chief Wes Davis and Brush 45.  Chief Davis had the Command.  Units responding; Command 45, Rescue 45, Brush 45, Sta 45 Fire Police, Clayton PD, Town of Clayton Building Inspections.  Photo's courtesy Joe Jones.
