The company responded to two rollover accidents in the Smyrna Local over the weekend, one with entrapment. Saturday night at Midnight Sta 44, Rescue Co. 45, Ambulance 64 and Kent County Paramedics were alerted for the rollover accident at Homestead Gardens at 5580 Dupont Parkway. Smyrna units arrived to find a vehicle overturned next to the building and the operator had left the scene. Rescue 45 made the response but was cancelled prior to arrival by the OIC. The operator was later located but refused services. They was no damage to the building but there was damage to some merchandise in front of the store.
On Sunday morning at 07:19 Sta 44, Rescue Co. 45, Ambulance 64 and Kent County Medics were dispatched for the auto accident with a rollover and subject reported trapped on S. Carter Rd near Bon Ayre Ln. Rescue 45 and Squad 45 arrived behind Smyrna units and found a vehicle on its side with the operator still inside. Crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and removed the front windows shield to remove the operator. The occupant refused medical treatment at the scene.
