Tuesday evening at 9:16pm the station was dispatched for the Engine Company to assist Sta 26 Townsend on the garage fire in the 500 block of Vandyke-Greenspring Road. Engine 45 w/5 and Squad 45 w/6 arrived to find Townsend units with a line in service on a 15' by 30' detatched building well involved. The structe also had a vehicle inside. Command requested the call be upgraded to a structure fire adding Ladder & Tanker 44, Engine 53, Ladder 27, Rescue 4 & 24 and Engine & Tanker out of Kent Md Sta 2. Rescue 45 w/6 also made the response. Crews were able to quickly confine the fire to the original structure. The crews from Clayton assisted with overhaul.
