COMPANY RESPONDS TO WOODS FIRE

Friday afternoon 2:47pm the station along with Kent County Md Station 2 Millington and EMS assets were dispatched to the reported small non-dwelling structure fire at 748 Longridge Road.  Responding units were advised the caller reported a woods fire thats was spreading quickly and had possibly spread to a storage building.  Command 45 w/Asst. Chief Carrow, Engine 45 w/5, Chief Pridemore, Quint 45 w/4, Firefighter James Demczak, Squad 45 w/5, Past Chief Robert Davis and Brush 45 w/3, FF Terrance Clark arrived along with Engine 2 and Tanker 2 and EMS assets to find approximately 1/2 acre of woods and grass on fire that had spread to under a storage building.  Crews deployed a handline and booster reel off Engine 45 and made quick work of the fire.  EMS crews provided care to a civilian with a cut to the hand.  The units were on scene for about an hour.  Asst.
