ENGINE GOES TO MILLNGTON FOR STRUCTURE FIRE

Sunday evening September 2 at about 9pm Kent County Md Station 2 Millington and mutual aid companies form Galena, Townsend and Volunteer Hose of Middletown were alerted for a residental structure fire on Lee's Chapel Road outside Golts.  With a full crew on the station and units being lacked on the box assignment and the fire being just over the state line from our first due.  Engine 45-2 w/6, Deputy Chief Alex Carrow made the response and was picked up on the assignment.  The engine arrived to find first alarm companies with several lines in service on a one story residence with heavy fire throughout.  The crew went to work assisting with suppression and overhaul.  The engine operated for almost 2 hours before returning.  Chief Mcintyre (Chief 2) from Millington had the Command.  Pictures courtesy Nevin Steffy from Galena Fire Company.
