Once again the Smyrna Clayton Community will be honoring those in our military who paid the ultimate measure to defend our freedom. This year marks the 150th Anniversary of the 1st Celebration of honoring our military personel who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defending our country. The first service was held to honor those lost during the Civil War. Well over 1 million service members have paid the ultimate sacrifice from all our nations conflicts. The Smyrna Clayton Community will be celebrating Memorial Day once again with a Parade and Memorial Service following the parade. The parade begins at 10am and will be in Smyrna ending up at the Smyrna/Clayton Veterans Memorial at the George Wright Municipal Park on N. Main St. We ask that you please take a moment to thank those memebrs of our military that have served and continue to serve our country.
