ENGINE AND LADDER GO TO ODESSA FOR RESIDENTAL STRUCTURE FIRE

Friday afternoon at 2:49pm the station along with Tanker Co. Sta 44 were dispatched to new castle County to assist Odessa on a residential structure fire at 17 N Appoquin Dr. Quint 45 w/6, Deputy Chief Alex Carrow arrived to MOT units with a line in service on a fire on the outside of a garage.  The fire was quickly knocked down and the area was checked for extension.  Engine 45-3 w/7, Chief Wes Davis was canceled as it was about to go on scene.  Chief Sean Eckrich from Odessa had the command.  Units from Odessa, Middletown, Townsend, Port Penn, Clayton, Smyrna and NCC EMS responded on the call.  Photo's courtesy Jerry Hull.
