Sunday afternoon at 2:30 the station was alerted for the large outside fire in the 3000 block of Blackiston Rd. Command 45 w/Deputy Chief Lightcap and Brush 45 w/5, Asst. Chief Moorhead quickly marked up followed by Squad 45 w/5, FF Jason Sacco and Rescue 45 w/4, Asst. Chief Carrow. Units arrived to find and area of grass on fire that had extended into a corn field. The fire was brough under control in about 45 minutes. Engine 45 w/2 also responded for additional water. Deputy Chief Lightcap had the command.
