The company joined the Smyrna/Clayton community with celebration the nations birthday. The day began with a large parade through Clayton starting at 9:30. Almost 80 units took part in this years parade that lasted just over an hour down Main St. where over a thousand people watched it. The company had 33 members take part in the parade. The company is also responsible for putting on the parade through their association with the Smyrna/Clayton July 4th Foundation. We had another 17 members help put on the parade from lining up the units, registration, announcing the parade to traffic control. The day finished with a company picnic before going to the fireworks at dusk from the Smyrna/Clayton Little League Fields. The company had an engine and gator standby at SHS during the fireworks while another crew staffed one of th remaining units at the station.
